Content in OmegaWiki is available under two licenses:
- The GNU Free Documentation License 1.2 or higher
- Creative Commons Attribution License 2.5 or higher
You may choose whichever license you prefer when using OmegaWiki content. When contributing to OmegaWiki, you agree to make available your contributions under both licenses.
The pictures are from Wikimedia commons and each has its own license. Please click on the picture to access the license. In most cases, it's an open-source license. In a few cases, it might be the fair use of a fully copyrighted work.
Further considerations[edit]
Basically, we are of the opinion that all our data should be in the public domain. However, this is not possible (in many countries, you cannot abandon your copyright).
So, we had to choose a license, and we selected what looked like the most free ones. But still, we are happy whenever anybody wants to reuse our data. If you are unsure whether you can reuse our data in your project, just ask (the answer will probably be "yes, you can!").
Using our work for commercial purposes is also permitted.
